Quick sketch outside, forgot my notebook at home so I had to make do with a writing tablet:
I will be sharing my experience at the Post-Impressionist exhibition later tonight, my sister and I went to the De Young on Monday night...it was amazing to say the least.
Also, have to give a shout-out to John Singer Sargent, whose birthday is today. He is one of my favorite painters, and coincidentally one of his paintings, "La Carmencita" was a center star to the opening of the exhibition:
She demanded attention right when you walked in. The colors were positively gorgeous.
Great timeline of his work can be found here. I just love the expressive feel of his brushstrokes.
