I decided to take a little break from regular drawing, and use an X-acto blade instead of a pen or pencil, going for shapes. Just a light sketch on the black sheet as a guide initially, but eventually I abandoned doing that and just drew with the X-acto blade instead.I placed the cut black paper onto this sample sheet of some lovely pearly white, textured paper. I just loved the simple graphic combo of B&W, focusing more on texture. The image was abstract enough that you can turn it around and see the design in a different way.
I decided to use the leftover pieces that were cut and paste them onto a baby blue cardstock. I added a touch of the pearl white paper on it too. Cutting into the cardstock as well, I liked how turning it and letting different colors show through gave it an additional dimension. Abstract enough that you can see different things (bird, ship, antelope?).
This was a lot of fun to do! And now perhaps the mocha I had earlier will wear off so I can get some sleep finally :)

very beautifully done! you have a nice blog:)
